• Let them know you're a constituent and what neighborhood/area you live in.
• If you have an NDP, Liberal, Green or Bloc Quebecois MP, thank them for taking a stand against oil tanker traffic in the past and encourage them to continue to support a ban on oil tankers on B.C.'s north coast.
• Tell them why you think Enbridge Northern Gateway is a bad deal for Canada, including any relevant personal experience you have (e.g. as a fisherman, tourism operator, coastal resident, etc.)
• If you have a Conservative MP, express why you think Enbridge's tanker and pipeline project is not in Canada's national interest. If you have been a Conservative supporter in the past, be sure to say so. You may also want to draw attention to the fact the project is being funded and promoted by China's state-owned oil companies, leading you to further question whose interests the Canadian government is acting in.
